Society of Animal Artists

66th Annual Exhibition CATALOGUE

HELLO EVERYONE,

I just received a beautiful colour copy of the 66th Annual Members Exhibition catalogue from the Society of Animal Artists.

With 135 world class artists represented in this year’s exhibition, I find myself both humbled and honoured as a new Signature Member to have been selected for the exhibition and to be able to play a part in the overall presentations.

This exhibition is being held at the unique Elliott Museum, on Hutchinson Island, in Stuart Florida, from August 6th through to December 8th, 2026 with “Art and the Animal” as its theme. The Opening Weekend with artists comes together on October 9-10. From the beginning the Elliott Museum has been known for bringing together art, history, design, and innovation.

Kelly Radding did a wonderful job with the catalogue creative vision by not only highlighting individual artist pages in the catalogue, but complementing it with the Society of Animal Artists history and membership as a whole. The catalogue provides both colourful visual images of each of the artists’ artwork, but also detailed descriptions and sale prices throughout the 160 pages.

There are around 453 members from 25 countries in the Society of Animal Artists. Since 1979, fifteen artists have attained the “Master Signature Membership” status, the highest honour in the Society by having won five or more “Society’s Award of Excellence” prizes.

The Society began with a group of nine artists in the early 1950’s and their first successful group exhibition in 1958. It is dedicated to artistic excellence in portrayal of our living world heritages we are so much a part of and its preservation by public education through art exhibitions, demonstrations, seminars, and lectures throughout the United States.

The artwork for the 66th Annual Exhibition can also be seen online by going to www.societyofanimalartists.comand clicking on the “View the 66th Annual Exhibition Artwork on the Show Submit”. Each of the 135 works of art are also linked to individual artist websites. Catalogues can be purchased from the Elliott Museum and the Society of Animal Artists.

My painting “Home Defence - Bald Eagles and Canada Geese” is on page 31 of the catalogue. See the link to my website www.harveybodach.com

Hope to see you on October 9-10 for the opening weekend with artists.
