SOLO EXHIBITIONS:

2024 - TENTATIVE - Future Second Solo Exhibition - Month 0f May, 2024.

- The second solo exhibition will take place at the MEAFORD HALL ARTS & CULTURAL CENTRE for 2024.

- a beautifully restored and renovated century old heritage building and landmark.

- Artist will display 24 Paintings, 2 Sculptures, 8 Drawings, 1 painting in production stage.

- A beautifully restored and renovated century old landmark with state of the art gallery facilities.

(Note: Due to technical reasons beyond our control, THE SHED will not be available for a Solo Exhibition slated for September 15-16, 2023 as stated earlier).

2022 - First Solo Exhibition - September 17-20, 2022.

- The exhibition took place at THE SHED - Clarksburg, Ontario. (705-539-0677).

- Featured a “Nationally Recognized Award Winning Artist”.

- Artist displayed 20 Paintings, 2 Sculptures, 4 Drawings, 1 painting in production stage.

GROUP EXHIBITIONS:

2023 - “Buckhorn Festival of the Arts” toke place on August 19-20, 2023.

The award winning Buckhorn Festival of the Arts returned for its 46th year this past August 19 and 20 and was a huge success. It featured a huge lineup of over 70 artists spread across 10 acres both inside the Buckhorn Community Centre and outside in the Festival Park’s eleven buildings. Some artists came with nationally recognized awards and others with international reputations. Located at 1782 Lakehurst Road, Buckhorn Ontario, Canada, K0L 1J0 (705) 657-1918). The KawarthaNOW online publication (kawarthaNOW.com) gave an extensive report on the Festival in its Arts & Entertainment section for Thursday August 24 which also highlighted Harvey Bodach, one of the new artists exhibiting in the”HERON” building. The caption under his painting “Escarpment Limestone Nook with Lynx Preparing for Winter Hunt” indicated that he was one of several new artists at the Buckhorn Festival of the Arts. Harvey came to this Festival as a nationally recognized award winning artist with 16 acrylic painting and drawing originals with 14 in giclée print options.

It was on March 30, 2023 that the Buckhorn Festival Jury had extended this first invitation for him to participate in this 2023 Buckhorn Festival of the Arts group exhibition and sale event.

2023 - “BLUE MOUNTAIN - ARTSWALK 2023” July 8, 2023.

- This is a one day event with over 50 stops along the 2.2km Arts Walk between Downtown Thornburn and Downtown Clarksburg districts.

- Over 30 Artists, galleries, businesses, restaurants, the L.E. Shore Library, parks/parkettes, and the front lawns of homes and churches are highlighted. Harvey exhibited eight original paintings in the Foyer/Gallery of the Blue Mountain Community Church - 219 Bruce Street South.

2023 - “365 Online Exhibition and Calendar Contest” will take place on May 1-14, 2023.

- Artist’s original painting received a HONOURABLE MENTIONS AWARD by jury - April 18, 2023.

- Artist also placed on DECEMBER 2023-2024 Calendar Page (Top 14 Artworks Featured) by jury.

SEMINARS:

2023 - PROBUS CLUB CANADA:

PROBUS is a volunteer-based, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian fellowship organization with over 4,000 clubs worldwide, some 250 being Canadian clubs made up of over 35,000 members. The goal of the PROBUS is to provide Fellowship, Friendship, and Fun for all men and women in their retirement and semi-retirement years. A variety of guest speakers are invited to educate and encourage healthy minds and bodies and provide socializing with other retirees in the community.

- Guest Speaker will be Harvey Bodach a Landscape and Wildlife Artist who will once again speak on his fieldwork with Thornbury Bald Eagle pair and his Artwork. Location: Beaver Valley Community Centre

- PROBUS Club of the Gateway, Collingwood: was Guest Speaker on Tuesday August 15, 2023

- Guest Speaker was Harvey Bodach a Landscape and Wildlife Artist who spoke on his fieldwork with Thornbury Bald Eagle pair and his Artwork to a crowd of over 100 people. Location: Old Village Legion Park

KawarthaNOW online (kawarthaNOW.com) in its Arts & Entertainment section on Thursday August 8 provided a comprehensive report on the award winning Buckhorn Festival of the Arts which returned for its 46th year this past August 19 and 20. It featured a huge lineup of over 70 artists spread across 10 acres both inside the Buckhorn Community Centre and outside in the Festival Park’s eleven buildings and was a huge success. Some artists came with nationally recognized awards and others with international reputations.

The KawarthaNOW report included coverage for new artist Harvey Bodach who participated in the Festival as a nationally recognized award winning landscape and wildlife artist. The caption under his painting “Escarpment Limestone Nook with Lynx Preparing for Winter Hunt” indicated that he was one of several new artists at the Buckhorn Festival of the Arts. Harvey came to this Festival with 16 large and small acrylic painting and drawing originals and giclée limited edition print options.

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Married with three adult children. Currently residing on the shores of Georgian Bay. Career path includes 17 years as a graphic designer, illustrator and art director in the commercial arts (including 5 years of part-time freelancing in both the visual and commercial arts). Then in education as a high school teacher with visual arts and multi-media technologies as teachable subjects for 24 years.
