THE ART OF

HARVEY BODACH

A CANADIAN LANDSCAPE AND WILDLIFE ARTIST

Inspired by the wonders of a natural world in Creation with a passion to express experiences in visual art forms

We exist in an expanding universe of countless galaxies, stars and planets moving in space and time. We also live, move and thrive on one of these bodies, a planet called Earth, where the profusion of life there stands out uniquely from all the rest.

My mind is challenged to understand and explore this special world, its expansive nature, in all of its complexity, mystery and revelation.

As I look around this creation, it testifies of a Divine authority, a Creator who has left a visible and discernible record. This is found composed upon the predictable paths of the myriad heavenly bodies above, the deeply scarred surfaces and sediments of earth below, the DNA codes written within all of reproductive life, and in the crowning form and regenerated spirit of humanity itself.

I need to observe, comprehend, and encounter this wisdom reflected in creation, discover its meaning, purpose and direction, as I pose the questions.

My desire as an artist is to interpret my observations and express this understanding by recapturing it in art forms of my choosing. With a visual language, through multiple mediums, in drawings, paintings and sculptures, and by using a realistic style, this art will represent a growing artistic record of my experiences.
