The painting “A CLIMBING LANDSCAPE - IMMATURE BALD EAGLE” presents a young two year old immature bald eagle with diverse plumage in transition, clings to life on a White Cedar limb which is fastened to a cliff side rock of the Niagara escarpment.

The eagle has survived its exposer to the pesticide DDT used by farmers and the White Cedar made it through centuries of natural fire storms as well as the spread of human settlement.

The painting is a statement on the survival of both the Bald Eagle and the White Cedar Tree. Both have endured hardships of a challenging environment and each cling to life in a landscape that climbs skyward as a sign for their success.

The painting has currently been sold, but giclée (zhee-CLAY) museum quality canvas or paper prints are being made available. The Jury at the Federation of Canadian Artists has awarded Harvey Bodach another Prize for an original painting. This time the artwork placed FIRST among 76 other artists. The painting entitled “Canada Lynx in Repose on a Moonlit Winter Night”, was created with acrylics on Masonite Board.
